Panganiban Piglets Project

The concept of Piglets Recycling is adapted by Pusong Camarines Norte Yahoogroup organized by Tay Jobo Elizes of New York two years ago. The group members are all over the world who have roots in the province of Camarines Norte and communicating via internet through this yahoogroup. Topics are usually, current events and updates in our respective towns. The popularity of the group grew as we find and re-connect with former schoolmates, relatives in other countries and long-lost friends.

TJ, as most of us address him, took this opportunity to make this whole thing more meaningful. Thus, the program of Piglets Recycling began to roll. The concept is simple: A donor will spend a little over $100 for two(2) piglets which are to be dispersed to pre-selected recipients by volunteers in the locality. Once they mature and gives birth, two(2) of their offsprings will be dispersed to another recipient who is interested in the program. Then, he will do the same after some months and the cycle continues.

Today, this program is spread in other provinces. TJ, started developing another yahoogroup which is called PIGNET. Likewise, due to the volume of pictures that are coming in, TJ created some websites for each location.

Panganiban Piglets Project is just starting. With Mr. Mario Ubalde as the Member / Coordinator in our town, Jose Panganiban we believe that our initiative will benefit more families who are in need of livelihood alternative.

A handful of founders donated some money to keep this rolling and, today, we are announcing the maiden dispersal in our beloved town. TJ is one of the first who shared hard-earned dollars in this project, along with Joy Parayno-Castillo (NJ), Dondin Relos (SOCAL), Delia Schneider ( SOCAL) and sister Emily,  and Arlene Suzara (NOCAL).

We encouraged a number of our fellow Mambulenos to support this project and they are very much willing. I believe that more DONORS will join us very soon.
